About Me

Hello, I’m Jenny Sorenson, a multifaceted educator with over 20 years of diverse experience in education. My varied teaching experiences span Pre-K through middle school, and tutoring students ages (from 3 to 92!).

Through my degrees, research, and hands-on practice, I have cultivated a deep understanding of education and human development which enables me to tailor engaging learning experiences that meet the unique needs and interests of every student.

As a certified mindfulness instructor, I prioritize emotional regulation and balance as the foundation for growth. I am passionate about integrating mindfulness, social-emotional learning (SEL), and intuition into my teaching. My goal is to create safe, exciting learning environments that foster awareness, curiosity, and empowerment—helping individuals thrive beyond academics and equipping them with tools for lifelong success.

As a mother of two neurodiverse daughters who experienced challenges of being different and the pressure to fit in, I am deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and connection. These values are at the heart of everything I do, both personally and professionally. I’m also a dedicated advocate and consultant for students with IEP and 504 accommodations, ensuring every child’s talents and needs are supported with care and creativity.

Recognizing that not all students are meant to “fit into a box,” I am a passionate supporter of alternative education and a proud provider for the Utah Fits All scholarship program (https://schools.utah.gov/utahfitsallscholarship). Beyond my formal qualifications, I draw on life experiences as a wife, mother, business owner, musician, scuba diver, world traveler, and more. These facets of my life shape my approach with authenticity, compassion, and creativity.

From an early age, I recognized the power of unconditional love and connection, even amid division and strife. Through supportive communities like the Fusion Wellness Collective, I’ve reclaimed my authentic voice, embraced my true self, and deepened my intuitive wisdom and spirituality. I am committed to paying it forward, empowering others to celebrate their individuality and unlock their boundless potential.

Let’s work together to cultivate spaces where individuality soars, learning thrives, and love leads the way.
